Deletion of Mail from the Server
- When an e-mail is read, SecureNotes deletes it from the SecureNotes server. Regular e-mail does not provide this feature and leaves archive copies of all e-mail and attachments on servers, where snoops can access them. Additionally, you could be subpoenaed for such copies.

SecureNotes® Process

- Create and send e-mail messages and attachments from the standard e-mail system installed with the SecureNotes interface.
- SecureNotes provides the option to send e-mail messages with or without security. You choose the 'secure' option, SecureNotes encrypts and compresses the message.
- The server holds and sends the message in an encrypted form.
- SecureNotes recognizes the authorized sender and decrypts and decompresses the message. When the message is read, SecureNotes deletes it from the SecureNotes server.
- The e-mail message arrives on the recipient's system which is installed with SecureNotes. When the message is read, it may be either deleted from the user's machine or saved, depending on your individual security procedures.

Why isn't regular e-mail secure?
Standard e-mail passes through Internet (TCP/IP) lines
and a number of connecting servers to reach its ultimate recipient. During that process,
unauthorized recipients can intercept the e-mail message. In addition, a copy left on a server can be accessed. Regular e-mail is as public as a highway billboard.
How does SecureNotes keep my e-mail private?
SecureNotes is a special software program that is a
virtual 'armored car' delivering your message. From the moment it leaves your computer, it
is protected until it reaches its ultimate destination. SecureNotes gives your e-mail communications ultimate protection including:
Encryption & Compression - Makes messages and attachments impossible to read during transit
Authentication - Verifies the identity of both sender and recipient
Deletion - When the message is read, SecureNotes deletes it from the SecureNotes server
When I delete standard e-mail, isn't it gone forever?
No. To provide
"backup", a copy of your standard e-mail may reside on the
e-mail server you are using, whether it is an internal company server or an Internet
service provider's server! This is done as a back up for disaster recovery. To ensure that
your e-mail is confidential, you must use a security product such as SecureNotes, which
deletes the copies of your e-mail from the server when read by the recipient.
Can I use SecureNotes with my current e-mail program?
Yes. SecureNotes is
a software interface program (for windows-based systems) that enables you to
continue using your standard e-mail program. Because SecureNotes is seamless, the only difference you will notice is the option to "secure" select e-mails.
Will I have to learn a new program to operate SecureNotes?
No. SecureNotes is easy to use. A
simple screen appears, giving you the option to select "secure" or
"regular" and "send". Security has never been so easy!
